As CEO of HB Reavis Poland I worked closely with Dawid for over 5 years. As a Senior Legal Counsel, Dawid was responsible, among others, for comprehensive legal services for the "West Station - Warszawa Zachodnia" project, one of the most formally complicated development projects in Poland, a joint venture with PKP S.A. involving a railway station hall and a complex of office buildings with a GLA of about 68,000. Moreover, he provided comprehensive services to the team responsible for the construction of the Forest office complex at Burakowska Street in Warsaw (GLA approx. 78,000). He also supported our company in the process of purchasing land for new investments projects, in the process of commercialization of buildings, as well as in the sale of commercialized buildings.
From the beginning of his work, he impressed everybody with above-average level of expertise, effective way of conducting negotiations and good intuition of business goals. He is responsive, hardworking, matter-of-fact and goal-oriented during the meetings. His co-workers praised him for the sense of security that accompanied them when Dawid was present in the negotiating room.
He has very good organization of work, is meticulous and proactive. He easily establishes relations with external partners, public institutions, financial institutions, or as part of an internal team of top-tier experienced managers and specialists in land acquisition, construction engineers, architects, tax advisors, accountants, financiers. I personally supported his candidacy in the most prestigious competition for young lawyers in Poland "Rising Stars Lawyers - Leaders of Tomorrow".
We worked closely together especially during the extremely difficult process of selling the West Station complex together with PKP S.A. to the Singaporean company Mapletree. Throughout the entire sales process, Dawid was able to propose solutions that brought together seemingly conflicting interests of a wide variety of stakeholders and helped to a large extent to successfully complete this extremely demanding transaction.
Personally, I greatly appreciated Dawid's dedication, willingness to help 24 hours a day, his patience, professionalism and his focus on the successful completion of the transaction during the long negotiations not only with the buyer, but also with the JV partner and a wide range of his advisors.
